Still At Work... Preparing For Fashion Week

Well as you all may know, I am an inspiring stylist. Though I love what I do, I take it very seriously. In the process I never want to be confined to just one aspect of the business, so I am actively volunteering to work Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (cross your fingers). So until the news arrives I am still shooting and perfecting my craft. Here are a few styles from the most recent shoot. Photographer Ronald Samuel was a pleasure to work with as were the models. This one was simple but with the newspaper background a little more intricate. I hope you enjoy...

In the name of hardwork and perseverance, Let the church say AMEN!!!

THE NEW FRAGRANCE

Introducting the smell that will start your New Years off refreshing Well, Tom Ford's Black Orchid. I have had the opportunity to smell this paragon and let me say its to die. Its not as woodsy or strong as his other scents. It's less of the tree bark and more of the flower, but still masculine. Its heaven on earth.

JERKISH TIP #109: SO YOU LIKE TO MIX & MATCH...

So you like to wear polka dots and stripes, checks and brights, florals and plaids... So do I, but there is an art to mixing and matching. Lets face it, who wants to be all matchie matchie anyway. But mixing the wrong combination can cause you to look like who done it and why. One again everything is not for everybody and knowledge is key. When mixing patterns you want the right amount of pattern and solids so that it is not overwhelming. When mixing colors you want to make sure they compliment one another to the fullest without being too over powering. Of course fashion really doesn't have rules, but with that being said fashion does have rejects and I would hate for you to be one of them.

Here's 2 Looking Your Best.

DRESSED 2 KILL...

THE LOOK...

As we know I am a huge fan of Chloe and Hannah's love for oversize sweaters and tight bottoms. My favorite looks are very well put together but seem effortless all at the same time. the Olsen Twins and Nicole Richie are infamous for this look. As winter is literally just around the coner I wanted to offer a few cool suggestions to turn this look into something HOTTTTT. With chunky fair isle or all over shaped sweater cardigans, distressed jeans, cute tee's, Platforms and jewelry, you will be sure to have the best "I just through this together" look...

A STEP ABOVE...

ARTFUL DODGER
$265
RED WING FOR J.CREW
$325
STEVE MADDEN
$160
MULHOLLAND
$295

I love love love boots... I like how they can change an outfit and give it that extra UMPH! it needs to become so much more. These four pairs of boots are a few of my favorites and they don't hurt the pockets to much. Remember if you have to spend money on any part of an outfit it should be footwear and outterwear.

Micheal Bastian...

Hey Guys... Literally,
Because I am living in denial right now and don't want to admit winter is here, I'm going to fast forward to spring 2010. One of my favorite shows this season is Micheal Bastian's. I personally love this menswear collection and would wear every single last piece down to the footwear and oversized bags. It seems comfortable, stylish, campy, athletic and masculine.

Living in for next season...

BE INSPIRED:

Photographer: Alix Malka

Every Creator needs a source of inspiration and Alix is mine. Its not always a model that will be my muse, sometimes its a person or a work of art and in this case its both. I love bright colors patterns and textures especially when I'm styling. Alix Malka knew who to capature all of the above in a photo. Alix specialized in turning Beautiful pictures into stunning Pop Art. If these pictures dont evoke some sort of emotion, I dont know what will.

MY Must Have Coat This Winter

The Toggle Coat

Hugo Boss

Banana Republic

7 For All Mankind

Every winter there is always something I want more than anything, also every winter I need a new coat (I guess its a fetish). So I figure lets combine the two. Inspired by one of my favorite childhood storybook characters Paddington Bear, The Toogle Coat is my pick this winter. This staple is warm, comfortable and stylish (if tailored correctly). Trust me, if there is one thing I know thats coats.

Stay tuned to my christmas list... Tis the season you know.
